How often should a startup post on social media?
Most startups do not fail at social media because of bad ideas. They fail because posting stops the moment work gets busy. The fix is a rhythm you can keep, not a perfect plan.
A rhythm that works for most startups
- LinkedIn: 3 posts a week from the founder, 2 from the company page.
- Instagram: 3 posts or Reels a week, plus stories when something happens.
- Facebook: reuse your best Instagram posts 2 to 3 times a week.
- YouTube: 1 short or video a week if video matters to your customers.
Consistency beats volume
Three posts every week for six months will do more than twenty posts in one week and then silence. Pick a number you can keep in your busiest month, and plan around it.
What to post
- What you are building and why.
- Customer stories and results.
- Lessons you learned this week.
- Behind the scenes: team, process, milestones.
- Helpful tips your customers can use today.
Make it take 10 minutes a week
Batch the work: plan a month at once, create posts in one session, and approve them in one sitting. That is exactly how Nodreel works: we plan and create, you approve in a tap, and we publish everywhere.
